Spectacular Spider-Man is the Firefly of Spider-Man cartoons

I mean, if we’re being honest here.

(And I need to just go ahead and buy the separate season 2 DVDs since we’re obviously not getting a complete season or even full Netflix Instant release.)

So, I FINALLY watched Serenity (YEAH I KNOW, SHUT UP OKAY) but holy shit—even with all the years of extreme hype and an uber-rabid fanbase, it STILL surpassed my expectations, like, tenfold.  And my expectations were impossibly high to begin with.  I mean, that was just a damn good film on its own, even if you disregarded the show.

So thank you guys for never shutting the fuck up about Firefly.  Seriously.  Because, good god, that was so worth it.

Oh, that’s good to know.  No clue what the internet’s always complaining about, then.

Tim Minear is a television writer.  His Twitter handle is @CancelledAgain.  Why is this hilarious/sad?  He’s a writer of:

-Terriers (critically acclaimed; cancelled after one season)
-Firefly (critically acclaimed; cancelled after one season)
-Wonderfalls (critically acclaimed; cancelled after one season)
-Drive (nominated for an Emmy; cancelled after 4 episodes)
-The Inside (cancelled after 7 episodes)
-Angel (decent ratings; cancelled on a cliffhanger)
-Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (popular; cancelled on a cliffhanger)

He was also a writer on The X-Files…but apparently that was a fluke.  Can’t help but feel sorry for the guy.  But at least he’s won my award for Best Twitter Handle Ever.
